π Grading Policy & Reporting Schedule
At Hartman Middle School, we follow the Houston ISD (HISD) grading policy to ensure fair and consistent evaluation of student progress. Please review the grading scale, important policies, and reporting dates below.
π’ HISD Grading Scale
| Grade | Score Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A | 90–100 | Excellent |
| B | 80–89 | Good |
| C | 75–79 | Fair |
| D | 70–74 | Passing |
| F | 69 or below | Failing |

All grades are reported as numerical scores.

Scores ending in .5 or higher will be rounded up.

A 70 or higher average is required to receive credit for a course.
π Grade Reporting Guidelines

Teachers will post at least two grades per week per student.

A minimum of 12 grades must be recorded during each grading cycle.

Teachers may drop some grades, as long as the 12 grade minimum is maintained.
